Deep Thinker
This stunning series of world champion freediver Guillaume Nery shows the French man doing his thing — and by that, we mean taking a deep breath and diving up to 125 metres underwater alongside a guide line, but not touching it, while wearing fins and without the aid of any breathing apparatus. Aesthetics are an important part of free diving and photographer Ian Derry captures beautifully the sheer serenity of Nery’s deep water ballet.
